Discover art, artists and artistic practices from different perspectives.
CaroArtVirtualGallery is more than a place to visit virtual exhibitions. It is a growing curatorial platform where artists, artworks, ideas and stories come together in different ways.
Explore invites you to move beyond a single exhibition and discover the wider artistic practices behind the works. Meet the artists presented by CaroArtVirtualGallery, explore their work and development through curated artist portfolios, or step into the artistic practice behind CaroArt itself through CaroArtStudio.
Each route offers a different perspective. Sometimes the starting point is an artist, sometimes an artwork, a story, a material or an artistic process. Together, these different layers create space for connections, discoveries and new ways of looking.
There is no fixed route through CaroArtVirtualGallery. Follow what catches your attention, move between artists and ideas, and discover where your curiosity takes you.
Explore. Look closer. Discover more.
ARTISTS
Discover the artists presented by CaroArtVirtualGallery and explore the individual practices, ideas and stories behind their work.
Every artist has a distinct way of seeing, thinking and creating. The Artist Pages are designed to bring these different aspects together and offer a broader perspective on an artist’s practice — beyond a single artwork or exhibition.
Through selected works, an extended artist statement and background information, you can discover the themes, materials, processes and ideas that shape their work. Where relevant, the Artist Pages also connect to other presentations within CaroArtVirtualGallery, such as Virtual Exhibitions, Viewing Rooms, Curated Artist Portfolios, Slow Art Experiences and Artist in Focus.
These connections create different ways of encountering an artist: through the work itself, through their story, or through the wider context of their artistic practice.
Rather than presenting artists through one fixed perspective, CaroArtVirtualGallery invites you to explore, make connections and discover what draws your attention.

Curated Artist Porfolio's
An exhibition may introduce an artist, but a portfolio tells a broader story.
The Curated Artist Portfolios by CaroArtVirtualGallery are carefully designed digital publications that extend the exhibition experience. Combining selected artworks, curatorial texts and artistic context, each portfolio offers a deeper insight into an artist's practice, visual language and ongoing development.
More than a catalogue, every portfolio is curated as a lasting publication that can be viewed online, shared with collectors and galleries, or printed as a personal keepsake. Together with the virtual exhibition, it creates a richer and more complete experience, allowing visitors to discover the artist beyond the gallery space.
Each portfolio is developed in close collaboration with the artist, ensuring that every publication reflects both the work and the story behind it.

CaroArtStudio
Behind CaroArtVirtualGallery is not only a curator, but also an artist.
CaroArtStudio is the independent artistic practice of Caroline Geerling, founder and curator of CaroArtVirtualGallery. Alongside her work in developing new ways of presenting and experiencing contemporary art, Caroline continues to develop her own artistic practice.
Her work explores perception, material, texture and the layers that exist between what is immediately visible and what gradually reveals itself through closer looking. Surfaces, structures and details play an important role, inviting the viewer to move beyond the first impression and become aware of what might otherwise remain unnoticed.
This ongoing exploration is also closely connected to the way Caroline approaches art as a curator. Looking, questioning, experimenting and allowing space for discovery are part of both practices — while CaroArtStudio remains a distinct place for her own artistic voice and development.
Through CaroArtStudio you can discover her artworks, series, exhibitions and ongoing projects, as well as gain insight into the ideas and processes behind the work.
CaroArtStudio offers another way of looking — this time through the eyes of the artist behind CaroArtVirtualGallery.
